Richard Coppus is an advisor at Crossminds and has been active in the corporate finance team for five years. He supports entrepreneurs in buy and sell transactions as well as in raising debt and equity financing. He is involved throughout the entire process: from the initial strategic exploration and preparation to guiding the process, negotiations, and the completion of transactions.
Richard was born and raised in Rotterdam. After earning his bachelor’s degree in International Business, he further specialized in corporate finance and worked on M&A cases in London in collaboration with the London School of Economics. This experience provides a solid foundation for his role at Crossminds.
At Crossminds, Richard primarily focuses on the Dutch SME and mid-market segment. These are companies where entrepreneurship, ambition, and personal involvement often come together. Transactions in this segment are rarely just about numbers—they are also about the future of the business and the entrepreneur. Guiding these critical moments and creating clarity and calm throughout the process is what he finds most rewarding.
In his free time, Richard is an avid boxer and enjoys soaking up the lively Rotterdam atmosphere on weekends.
