Crossminds guides the acquisition of Steder Group by Neele-Vat.

Through this acquisition, the strengths of two Rotterdam-based companies are combined. The logistics service provider Neele-Vat strengthens its position as a sea freight forwarder in the Port of Rotterdam with this takeover. The merger of the companies means a stronger position and a promising outlook for Steder Group.
Steder Group
Steder Group is a Rotterdam-based company with over 100 employees. The logistics service provider has been active for more than 35 years in areas such as ocean forwarding and project logistics. Steder Group serves its clients from locations in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates. The acquisition will enable Steder Group to offer its customers an even better and more comprehensive range of services.
Rinus Spijkers, CEO of Steder Group: “The acquisition by Neele-Vat offers a great continuation for both clients and staff of Steder Group. With the same customer-focused, no-nonsense culture, and even more strength. I’m very happy to be able to offer my clients and colleagues such a bright future.”
Neele-Vat
Neele-Vat is a true Rotterdam-based family business. Neele-Vat has a strong European transport network, a solid position in air and sea freight, and value-added logistics capabilities. The company employs over 1,000 people, operates 27 locations in 10 countries, has 255,000 m² of warehouse space, and generates annual revenue of around 395 million euros.
Rene Bongers, Commercial Director of Neele-Vat: “The activities of Neele-Vat and Steder Group complement each other well. We can now offer our customers an even broader service and, with the new locations, have a strong base to expand our services internationally. This allows us to pursue our ambitions to grow as a family business and remain competitive.”
Steder Group will continue to operate independently within the Neele-Vat Group under the current management. All locations and contact details will remain unchanged. However, Steder Agencies & Catering will not be sold and will continue to operate independently.
