In a strategic move to strengthen their position in the agricultural sector, CZAV and Casibeans, with the support of Crossminds, have completed a successful share transaction with Termont & Thomaes. CZAV & Casibeans
CZAV is a cooperative in the agricultural sector that focuses on the sale of crop protection products, fertilizers, seeds, and other agricultural products. The company has several locations in the Netherlands and Belgium and serves thousands of customers. CZAV aims to represent the interests of its members and support them in optimizing their operations, offering services such as crop advice, soil analysis, and events. Casibeans is a Belgian company specializing in the trade and production of high-quality legumes and seeds. The company has a strong focus on sustainability and quality and strives to provide innovative and environmentally friendly solutions to its customers. In March 2023, CZAV acquired a majority stake in Casibeans BVBA, marking an important milestone in the collaboration between the two companies.
Termont & Thomaes
Termont & Thomaes is a company specialized in legumes, grains, and seeds. Based in Biervliet, the company has over 100 years of experience in cleaning and processing these products. Today, T&T holds a leading position as a processor of Dutch legumes and a cleaner of foreign legumes. With their extensive experience and expertise in cleaning, conditioning, and packaging, they ensure a high-quality product.
About the Transaction
Prior to the transaction, CZAV and Casibeans were already closely collaborating with Termont & Thomaes. CZAV, with its expertise in legume cultivation, is expanding its activities by working with T&T and Casibeans on the conditioning, cleaning, and marketing of local legumes, aimed at the European food industry. Termont & Thomaes continues to specialize in agri-products, while CZAV offers its growers more opportunities and responds to the growing demand for local products, with a focus on plant-based proteins and access to global markets through Casibeans and Termont & Thomaes’ participation.
